Ascensions Child Development Program’s Curriculum
Children’s joy and happiness are a big part of their learning. At Ascensions Child Development Program, we encourage them to have fun as a part of their education, with child-led activities which are adapted to their abilities and interests.
Guided by The Creative Curriculum's ethos, which promotes hands-on exploration and discovery, our teachers equip children with the necessary resources to craft meaningful and captivating learning experiences, which are tailored to their individual interests and developmental milestones.
Our educational approach places a strong emphasis on fostering positive connections among teachers, children, and parents and caregivers, with a specific focus on nurturing independent thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills in children.
Through immersive, academically driven lesson plans that prioritize a holistic approach, our teachers concentrate on the overall development of each child, encompassing their mind, body, spirit, and heart.
The Four Stages
The Creative Curriculum focuses on age-appropriate developmental goals across four key areas of learning:
Promoting independence, confidence and self-control, this stage teaches little ones how to engage in group interaction, foster friendships and follow rules.
We ensure that children have the opportunity to enhance their gross and fine motor skills by engaging in activities like solving puzzles, participating in art and crafts, dancing, climbing, and practicing throwing and catching.
Communication is the primary focus of the Language Development phase. Children learn how to communicate with others, actively listen and engage in conversation, as well as recognize various forms of print. This stage also marks the beginning of letter and word recognition, along with purposeful writing.
The cognitive stage is associated with thinking skills and teaches children how to problem-solve, think critically, and refine their cognitive abilities as they explore and engage with the world around them.
When children play, they learn to develop language and social skills, manage their feelings and emotions, as well as solve problems independently.
Through play, children learn about themselves and others, as well as the community and the world around them.

We go the extra mile by establishing partnerships, including contracts with occupational and speech therapists and other allied health supporters, to address the diverse needs of our children and ensure every child receives comprehensive care.
Beyond daily care, we actively assist parents in transitioning from Early Childhood SEN plans to the school district, embodying our commitment to providing holistic support.

By actively engaging with parents and collaborating with healthcare professionals, we aim to create a supportive system that nurtures all areas of child development.
